whole30 2.0 - week 1

After spending over a week being sick...and a little too much indulgence over the last couple of months, I decided to start another Whole30.  It might end up being more like a Whole27 since we leave for Vermont on Oct. 12, but we will see and I will do my best.

Rather than post my daily eats, this time I decided to do weekly recaps.

Ok, for some reason I'm having a difficult time with this. I think I'm tired and uninspired in the food department. No, GF waffles are not Whole30, but yes, I ate them for dinner after going to a meeting and then spending two hours at my Advanced Cardiac Life Support checkoff. Day 5 // Friday September 19

Yes, GF pancakes. Nope, not Whole30. But the PSL was!! I'm selling my secret for $5 (it tasted exactly like a PSL from Sbux) if you want to know.

Overall I feel like I ate pretty well this week even though I was not 100% with the Whole30. I'm having a hard time preparing things in advance, which is the key to success here. Maybe the timing is just not right for this. I'm thinking I'll come up with a new challenge, but I'm not sure what to call it, Whole30-ish? My goal is to eat more veggies and fewer "junk" foods (GF pancakes, etc. constitute "junk" these days).
