RESEARCH:

Supportive text messages from your spouse or partner actually have the ability to decrease responses when faced with stressful situations, but only if you are subtle about it. Blood pressure response in the study group that received a "mundane" text group was the lowest. Further research is needed to fully understand the impact of text messaging on stress response. 

Estrogen may contribute to the higher incidence of autoimmune diseases in women compared to men. Estrogen receptors in T cells are likely the mechanism and could be a target for therapies to treat autoimmune diseases.
