Part of my winter goals were to get outside every day. Until I started this training plan, I was failing miserably at that one. I think I spent almost the entire month of December not going outside. While this training plan is not getting me outside every day, it's happening most days...which is great!
I'm also attempting HR training, which means that I'm running very, very, very slowly in an attempt to keep my HR within a certain range. I've started this a couple of times but never made it more than a week or two. Something about weeks of of 50+ minute 3 mile runs is rather discouraging. This time I'm looking at it as a way to get outside and not worrying about speed. Build a solid base!
Monday: 3 miles
Tuesday: 3 miles
Saturday: 3 miles
Sunday: 2 mi walk
Weekly Mileage: 11 miles
2015 Mileage: 11 miles
Sunday we were supposed to go for a skate, but the ice was not quite thick enough thanks to the recent bout with 40 degrees. We went out to Rabbit Slough hoping that maybe it would still be ok to skate on. Hopefully if it stays cold this week it will be good for skating next week.
