Since the previous week was a zero mile week, the goal for last week was just to get back in the habit of running! Not too bad of a week considering.
Tuesday: 3.6 mi // 40:29 | Just an easy morning run to get back into the swing of things. I did manage to make it out the door before 8am, which I don't think I have ever done for a run before.
Wednesday: Strength | Did some lower body strength at home
Thursday: 7.5 mi // 1:23:32 | 2 mi warm-up; 2 x 15 min at HMP with 2 min recovery; 2 mi easy. My 2 x 15 min with 2 min rest ended up being almost exactly 3 miles. I ran 10:28, 10:48 (this was where the 2 min of rest fell), and 10:18. My goal for HMP pace was 10:30, so I'd say I was right on. I did get super hungry around mile 5, so it was hard to finish.
Sunday: 5 mi // 1:02:26 | This was supposed to be 10 miles, but right from the start I was tired and sluggish. My legs felt super heavy and awful, so I turned around after letting Kiva have a drink from the creek. Oh well.
