some clarification

Dear Kiva,

The phrase "go eat your dinner" does not mean bother me while I eat my dinner, I'm not sharing mine with you, you have your own.  It is also not an invitation to investigate what sort of yummy things are on the counter.  Your dinner comes out of a bowl...in your kennel.

The phrase "it's bedtime" does not mean that it is now time for you to eat your dinner.  It means that I have finished my dinner (as you would have too if you had eaten when I told you to) and it is time to go upstairs for the night.

I hope this clears things up.

Love,
Martha

The last couple of times I have come home from work while John is out of town and the dog has ignored her dinner until I mentioned bedtime...then suddenly eating became of the utmost importance.

Silly dog.
