slacking

I've been ignoring my little corner of the internet for the last couple of days.  Sorry!!

This week has been a little nuts.  I started working day shift, so my body was all out of whack for a couple of days, but I already feel 100% better after three days of a "normal" schedule.  I was kind of worn out by Tuesday though, we had a couple of pretty busy days, but after sleeping for 11 hours...I'm recovered.

I will tell you that coming home form work at 7:45pm and having to cook yourself dinner is quite the chore.  John was in Seward and then Whittier this weekend so I had to fend for myself.  I managed, but it almost turned into cereal for dinner on Monday night.  Luckily he came home late Monday night and had dinner waiting for me when I got home from work on Tuesday!

This morning I had another coaching session with Doug.  We did some of the same drills from last week and added a few new ones.  One thing that we discovered is that my left leg is significantly stronger than my right (I am left handed so that's not surprising).  I am not sure how I'm going to get my right leg to catch up with my left...I'm thinking an extra set of exercises on my right side until the difference is less obvious.

When I came home, I took a nap (yes, I always have been and probably always will be an afternoon napper).  I was never really hungry for lunch, so when I woke up from my nap I made myself a snack.  I've been wanting to try Stuft Mama's "cookie dough" (she eats it for lunch all the time...so it's a totally legit midafternoon meal...right?).  It was delicious!  I used chocolate protein powder and a little bit of Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal.  Yum!

Tonight I am headed out to dinner with Heather (the minute she arrives from FL) and Annie.  Then it's off to Little Rock to see Brittany (and Jack of course!).  On Friday I'm going to meet my friend Ashley in Springfield, MO.  I haven't seen her in 14 years!
