Well, I meant for these training recap posts to happen weekly...but sometimes life gets in the way. This time, life really got in the way.
Anyway, this was week 5 of official Lavaman training and despite not swimming at all this week I did pretty well. I'm coming off of four weeks of getting only a few workouts a week in and then 10 days of vacation where I did some running and hiking but no swimming or biking.
I'm very much looking forward to my rest day tomorrow! The last time I spent this much time exercising in one week was back in March!
My bike ride on Tuesday was a little chilly (it was 7 degrees out!), but I still managed to work up a sweat. I got a fat tire bike for a Christmas present so I've been doing all my biking outside instead of on the trainer (so. much. better). Yes, I would 100% rather bike outside in the freezing cold than torture myself on the trainer. I'm working on perfecting my layering!
Other than enjoying my outdoor bike rides, I have nothing spectacular to report for this week. Just trying to get back in the habit of exercising every day.
Tomorrow I'm starting round 2 of the macros meal plan I did last month. It worked really well for me for the three weeks I was able to give it the time and dedication it deserved, so I'm excited to get back on track with that.
