Trying desperately to get into the swing of Ultra training. The first week is always easy and then it gets real.

Waking up early is harder when the darkness starts to creep into the mornings. I love winter, but summer sunshine in my windows has been a favorite this year.

Focusing on drinking more water, creating better habits, and letting things go.

Making lots of art. It finally feels right again.

Ordering a new swimsuit, different hydration mix (I'm a long time Skratch fan, but I'm mixing things up a bit), and running capris without holes in them. 

Looking forward to trips this fall and winter. SLC, San Francisco, Chicago, and maybe Morro Bay.

Thinking about finishing up my most recent quilting and knitting projects so I can start more! Having craft/art space that isn't my desk or the dining room table is amazing!

Struggling a bit with blogging. The direction this blog has taken was an outlet for me sharing health and nutrition information that I wanted to share, but now I actually get to do the exact same thing at work so it seems much harder for me to find the motivation to spend my free time doing the same (don't worry, this little blog isn't going anywhere).

Rereading A Wrinkle In Time for our book group. I read it when I was in elementary school and then saw that there was a movie coming out in March 2018. Even though I've already read it and thus met the criteria of read the book before seeing the movie, I wanted to read it again because I don't really remember the story. I almost never reread books, so this will be interesting. 50 pages in a loving it so far. 

Enjoying my two silly pups. They are so different and yet so similar. I'm so happy to have a dog crew of two, even though it makes many things more complicated and our house is covered in fur. 

Drinking Rocket Fuel Lattes. Costco stopped carrying my favorite cold brew coffee, the weather cooled off a bit, and I'm experimenting with some low carb eating - so I switched up my coffee game. Most days it functions as my breakfast. I honestly never thought I'd be able to drink a delicious coffee for breakfast and not be starving again an hour later. Most days I make it until lunch before eating again, but sometimes I have a snack around 10am. 

Paying attention to the news for the first time in a long time. I'm not sure what to say about what's going on in this country right now, but it feels important.
