2013 disneyland half marathon: week 9

And so began the taper.

Apparently all this work made me faster (I don't know why I am surprised…that was the goal) and 9:47 seemed pretty easy.  Not easy easy, but mostly easy.

As much as I have the taper crazies, I managed not to go running on a day off.  I got busy doing other things and ran out of time.  Oops!  Also, it poured rain all day which made it extremely hard to motivate myself…even if it was only 3 miles.

Running after work made me more tired than just running 3 miles on a regular day.  Which is good, because I slept very well Thursday night (the taper crazies have made me restless and not sleep well).

7 mi @ 10:59-11:28 - 6.56mi @ 10:41

Easy longish run.  The only problem with this run was that I felt slow.  I got hungry after 2 miles.  I didn't bring any water because I was only going to be out for a bit over an hour, but I apparently didn't drink any water while I was at work the last couple of days because I was very very thirsty.  It was also sunny and starting to get warm.
