2013 disneyland half marathon: week 7

Sunday:
Rest

The dreaded rest day...who knew it would not live up to everything I thought it would?! 

Monday:
5 mi @ 10:59-11:28 - 5mi @ 10:32

I ran, Kiva ran, John biked.  A nice change of pace (ha! no pun intended) from my usual non-speaking running company.  

Tuesday:
Rest - 500 yd swim (30 min)

Learning from my mistakes and turning rest into active rest.  Swimming was not quite as relaxing as I had envisioned it (apparently several other pools in town are closed this week, causing everyone to bring their children to APU...). It was nice to use different muscles for a change though!

Wednesday:
6 mi w/ 3 x 1 mi @ 8:45-9:00 - 6 mi @ 9:30 (w/ 3 mi @ 8:26, 8:39, 8:17)

Yep...I killed those mile repeats!  I'm fairly impressed with myself considering that the fastest mile I have ever run is 8:17 and that was when I was only running one mile.  Yes, I ran faster than I was supposed to run, but I felt good, so I went with it.

I was supposed to run after work, but instead I ate dinner and went to bed.  Due to the baby apocalypse (we were SO busy...I decided that the only explanation was that it was a baby apocalypse), I got my butt kicked at work and was too exhausted to do anything but sleep.
