Week 1 done! I missed a day of running, but that's life so I'm not going to get all worked up about it.
3 miles easy
This was my very first run in over three weeks (since I ran the Zombie 1/2). I just stuck to my neighborhood since it was also my first run of the season in the snow. There isn't a lot of snow on the ground, but it's still a completely different experience than running on dry pavement.

6 miles easy
4ish miles, easy
I got new shoes on Monday and realized after I left for my run that it was probably not smart to run 6 miles in new shoes for my second run when I haven't been running. The problem with that realization was that it came when I was 2.5 miles away from home and just under 2.5 miles into my run. Oops.

4 miles, easy
I ended up not running on Friday because I was too busy...sounds like a lame excuse, I know, but it's true! I had tons of errands to do and I ended up going to work for education for a couple of hours in the afternoon.
5 miles, easy
I actually ended up running 6 miles because that's what I thought I had planned. My run was lovely. It was a little chilly at the start because the wind was blowing directly at me, but once I got on the trail in the woods it was fine.
I managed to not look at my watch until I was done running (except to figure out where to turn around) and was surprised to find that my 4th mile (slight downhill, but on the snowy trail) was my fastest!
I randomly ran into Amber in a parking lot (the first spike in the blue line) and we chatted for a minute. Then when I got on the trail I was greeted by water running down the trail where the creek has overflowed so we had to bushwhack to get around it (the second spike). After that it was lovely winter trail running!
On to week 2!!
